Royal Pains is a television show about a doctor who gets shunned by the New York medical board after saving a poor man who had a good chance of living with his help instead of attending to a wealthy, older gentleman who had a smaller chance. Due to the connections of the wealthy man's family, the doctor ends up getting fired from his job. He ends up moving to the Hamptons with his brother and starting his own medical business- attending to the rich and the poor in the area.
